Jeff Dale & Jeff Stone, The Southside Lives CD Release show – TICKETS

Jeff Dale and Jeff Stone were born and raised on the south side of Chicago and have been the best of friends since they were 7 years old. Before they could shave, they were exposed to the music and live performances of Hound Dog Taylor, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, and Koko Taylor. Jeff Dale got his start fronting the award-winning Blue Wave Band and playing with Lowell Fulson, Pee Wee Crayton, Etta James and many other blues greats. His current band, the South Woodlawners, have generated accolades from around the world. Most recently, he produced a DVD of the last recorded show by David “Honeyboy” Edwards, hailed as a priceless, historical treasure. Jeff Stone won a WC Handy Award and his artistry in backing Chicago blues giant Charlie Love and the Rev KM Williams has kept him a blues festival regular. His “3 Faces of the Blues” CD was awarded the 2011 Best Blues Album of the Year, from American Blues News Magazine. The two Jeffs have finally fused their musical talent on “The Southside Lives” and we’ll be celebrating the release of their new CD which is a collection of original Jeff Dale tunes. Adjacent to the Blue Guitar room is the Arroyo Seco Grill which has food, wine, and full bar. Or you can bring your own bottle for a $10 corkage fee. Showtime is 7:30pm, doors open 30 minutes prior.

trioKAIT

KAIT DUNTON is a Los Angeles based composer & pianist with an unconventional approach to composition and to the piano trio, best expressed by her genre-pushing super group, trioKAIT. Together with bassist Cooper Appelt (Kan Wakan, Station Breaks, Robert Davi) and drummer Jake Reed (Bill Holman, Bruce Forman, Mako), trioKAIT brings a modern, tight and groovy sound to the piano trio format, shuffling wide-ranging influences and Kait’s innovative compositions into a refreshingly modern take on instrumental music that is as uncategorizable as it is infectious. Fused together via Kait’s music, the trio melds into a laser-focused single entity that is captivating, playful and exciting.
